Facebook was built to help people connect and share, and over the last decade our tools have played a critical part in changing how people around the world communicate with one another. With over a billion people using the service and more than fifty offices around the globe, a career at Facebook offers countless ways to make an impact in a fast growing organization. Driven by our rapid growth, Facebook is looking to take advantage of the efficiencies gained by optimizing our network hardware specifically for our data centers. This hardware will be designed using cutting edge technologies, reliable, efficient, easy to maintain, and inexpensive. Facebook is looking for a world-class network hardware design engineer. This is a full time position within the Hardware Engineering group, located in our Menlo Park office.
The Hardware Engineering team designs and builds the compute and storage servers, racks, and networking devices that power the Facebook social network, deployed in hyper-efficient datacenters worldwide. These designs are published through the OpenCompute foundation at http://www.opencompute.org/. This is a rare opportunity to join our team and help us build the world’s most open and efficient networking platforms! Design high performance 10G/40G Switches and/or other network hardware solutions from pizza boxes to large chassis covering the application space from ToR to Backbone switches.
