Position Summary

The Klipsch School of Electrical & Computer Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the broad area of cybersecurity (including but not limited to hardware cybersecurity). Candidates must have completed a Ph.D. by the time of their appointment (Fall 2017), and have a strong commitment to both research and teaching. The Klipsch school has BS/MS/PhD degree programs, and have a vibrant research environment. Research strengths include: smart power grids, communications & sensors, data science, artificial intelligence, systems & software, IoT, and photonics.

The position is a regular 9 month, tenure track, position eligible for normal promotion.

The faculty member will be responsible for teaching courses and laboratories, including distance education programs and short courses where appropriate; developing new courses and instructional laboratories; developing and advising Cornerstone and Capstone classes; advising undergraduate students; participating in accreditation related activities; participating in recruitment and retention activities; advising and development of student clubs; developing and maintaining a productive research program; developing and participating in collaborative research; advising MS and PhD students; providing service to the University community through committee work; providing service in professional societies; and providing service to the community at large.
