Job Description:
The Sales Development Engineer (SDE) is a key member of the sales
team who will help manage a variety of accounts in the Americas West sales
region. This person would team up with an experienced Sales Account Executive
to help manage the accounts in the territory to drive design wins, product
qualifications, and sales revenue. The SDE will work closely with the Lumentum
internal team (PLM, Engineering, Operations, and other functional support
staff) to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction for
both external and internal customers.
Responsibilities:
Meet/Exceed annual quota for assigned accounts.
Meet /Exceed annual design win/design-in objectives.
Help develop account plans and present regular updates within
Lumentum.
Effectively work within Lumentum to drive all aspects of
business activities to meet/exceed customer satisfaction.
Work with senior Sales staff and PLM to prepare quotations to win
profitable business.
Identify and drive new product/revenue opportunities within the
Account.
Monitor the shipments and delivery performance. Work with
customer and internally to resolve any issues.
Reports to Director of Sales, Americas West
Required Skills and Experience:
Engineering background
Ability to understand and articulate business value and practical
application of company technology and product portfolio.
Demonstrated ability to use sales methodology and processes to
drive opportunities.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Good computer skills.
Self-motivated
Excellent team spirit
