Minimum of eight (8) years maintenance experience with Virginia Class (774) Photonics AN/BVY(V)1 and a minimum of 2 years experience of onboard Submarine Electronics Surveillance , DF, Integrated Imaging, Periscopes, Universal Modular Mast, and Tactical Support Systems for Los Angeles (688/688I) Class, Virginia (774) Class Submarine Systems Support. Must be able to accomplish troubleshooting and corrective action/repairs of the following systems: IE: AN/WLR-8(V2)/(V)5, AN/BLQ-10A (V)1 thru (V)4, ADF, AN/BVS-1 Photonics Mast, AN/BVY-1(V)1/2, Type 18/15 and 8 Periscopes, Automatic ID System, NAVTEX, AN/BRR-6/6B, AN/BRT-1, AN/BRT-2(V)7, OA-9491/UYQ-70, HF/LF/ELF and VLF Antennas Systems. Must also have 4 years of experience in conducting submarine installs including PICO/SOVT testing. And 2 years experience in RF sweeping and troubleshooting of periscope RF systems. Must have experience supporting Submarine Total Ship Readiness Assessments (TSRA). Six (6) years full time engineering experience in the operation, maintenance, installation, test and/or repair of submarine mechanical, electrical and/or electronic systems and equipment. This must include experience in evaluating the material condition of ship systems and implementing corrective action. Qualifications This position may be located in Norfolk VA or Groton CT.
