Qualifications
We are looking for a Component test engineer to be responsible for the on time delivery of validated test data for optical and electrical wafer-level testing of silicon photonic components. This position is to provide the engineering support for the wafer-level testing of photonic components and be the technical point of contact between designers and the test team. Owning test scheduling, test file generation, data validation and collaborating with the test team on any debug. Role and responsibilitiesSchedule tests based on prioritization, tool status, and test times Define test plan and generate all tests documentation including test catalogs, files and recipes based on design requirements. Maintain test status and provide test updates and estimated completion dates. Validate test data to check for errors and identify any issues before forwarding to test requestor Work with test team to schedule, monitor and debug any identified issues and be abreast of test code updates impacting test files and setup. Attend test data report-outs
Required Qualifications
Must have a BS, preferably MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optical Science or related technical discipline
2+ years of relevant hands-on experience in high-speed optical or photonic component characterization
2+ years Data analysis scripting with e.g. Matlab, Python, C++
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to work proficiently in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience with semiconductor lasers, electro-optic modulators, and PIN detectors
Experience with statistical data analysis and process using e.g. JMP Inside this Business Group
