Job Description

As a software development engineer, you will be part of SPPD Platform Test Architecture and Analytics team, building the SW infrastructure of SPPD Manufacturing, Production & Test.

Responsibilities

As part of SPPD Platform Test Architecture and Analytics team, you will be responsible for developing and support production assembly and test system, optical alignment process, test methods and program for SPPD products and solutions. You will work with module level and wafer level test engineers, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to define and implement high volume production test methods that have stringent runtime and memory requirements. You will work with SPPD worldwide custom manufactures and enable them with your quality software and support. You will also have unique opportunities of developing embedded software for in-house optical transceiver test and burn-in systems

You can also be responsible to develop database and solutions that link module level, wafer level, and custom manufacturers test data together and enable yield analysis, yield improvement, and many more new product initiatives.

It’s critical you can proactively adjust priority, come up with new task/project in a fast changing environment to achieve organization goal.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences

Minimum qualification

The candidate must possess a MS/MA in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent degree on related fields.

5+ years of work experience in software design and/or development or other similar type of

jobs.

5+ years of experience with any of the following scripting/programming languages:

C#/Python/C++

2+ years of experience on optical transceiver assembly process or test

Additional qualifications include:
2+ years of experience with Optical equipment (Digital Communication Analyzer, Optical

Spectrum Analyzer, and Optical power meters)

2+ years of Database development experience such as MySQL, MongoDB, or Hadoop

2+ years of embedded system or programming experience Inside this Business Group
