Job Description

As a Wafer Test Technician, you will be part of the day-to-day operation in a wafer test lab that focuses on optical testing and characterization of Silicon Photonic devices. This position is full-time located in Santa Clara, California. Responsibilities – Track incoming devices from suppliers for testing. – Set up and operate optical testers and high-speed RF/digital transmission equipment. – Execute complete testing flow, including incoming inspection, SORT test, and outgoing inspection. – Manage and maintain lab resources, monitor equipment usage and downtime. – Work safely and ensure safety standards are followed.- Be the primary contact person for external support such as field engineers, new equipment purchases, station setup and network setup. – Problem solving ability to answer technical questions and debug circuits. – Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with TEL wafer probers.- PC troubleshooting and network setup.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: – 2 years of vocational education in a technical field at minimum, or B.S. degree equivalent with lab experience preferred. – 5+ years of working experience as a lab technician or tester. – 2+ years of hands-on working experience with optical, RF and digital test equipment such as optical fiber cables and connectors, optical power meters, digital communication analyzers, BER testers, and spectrum analyzers. Additional Preferred Qualifications: – Strong organization and task tracking abilities.- Ability to work proficiently in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project. – Experience in a production facility preferred – Software oriented basic programming experience.- Basic programming skills in Matlab or Python preferred. – Prober maintenance training preferred.
