Essential Functions:

  • Setup and adjust of DMG/Diamond turning machines from supplied data with minimal supervision
  • Optimize and develop processes with manufacturing engineering support
  • Install all required tooling from tooling data and setup instructions
  • Make minor program and tool offset changes as needed
  • Communicate all changes of setup and program to Process Engineer
  • Use complex measuring equipment to measure parts accurately
  • Become proficient in other manufacturing equipment to serve as backup to primary operator(s)
  • Participate in 5S activities which include but are not limited to cleaning, organizing, sweeping, and mopping work area
  • Maintain equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulation

Qualifications:

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to think critically and solve complex problems
  • Proficient in G-Code and M-Code programming; CADCAM proficiency is a plus
  • Proficient in geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Knowledge of testing and inspection methods and equipment
  • General computer skills

Education/Experience:

  • 5+ years work experience as SPDT Operator

Physical Requirements:

Adequate manual dexterity to perform essential functions; ability to use some physical efforts in the handling of heavy materials and machinery (most tasks require no more than 50 lbs. lifting); position requires about 80% standing; ability to work in manufacturing environment.


Other Requirements:

  • Work overtime as required.
  • US Citizenship or permanent residence required
