We are seeking a bright Process Engineering professional to join our talented team in our San Jose Fab. If you have a passion for learning and solving problems as well as an educational background that includes materials science, physics, electrical engineering or directly related disciplines; or hands on experience that includes wafer fabrication process and equipment; — this role could be just what you seek.
In this position you will:
Design, develop and qualify compound wafer fabrication processes for next-generation 3D sensing
Improve various wafer Fab processes for manufacturability and yield improvement
Optimize and qualify compound wafer fabrication processes
Qualify new process equipment
Sustain various wafer Fab processes with emphasis on statistical process control
Conduct data analysis, FMA, and SPC review for continuous design and process improvement
Review process and product yield, propose and implement yield improvement measures
Lead projects for fab logistics optimization, the whole fab yield improvement, and tool automation
Document process specifications and train production personnel.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have either a minimum of PhD degree with hands on experience with wafer fabrication and a laser process background (VCSEL or Edge Emitting Diode/High Powered Laser or III-V), or Master degree with a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in III-V laser fabrication process (VCSEL or Edge Emitting Diode/High Powered Laser or III-V).
Hands-on experience in implementing and facilitating lean-manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.
Hands-on experience on semiconductor fabrication process.
Experience in a manufacturing fab with cassette process, non-contact wafer handling process is a plus.
Strong problem solving, teamwork, project management, and communication skills are essential for success in this position.
The ability to learn quickly in a fast paced production environment is highly preferred.
