At Hewlett Packard Enterprise, we don’t just believe in the power of technology, we believe in the power of people when technology works for them. We believe in applying new thinking and ideas to improve the way our customers live and work. Learning does not only happen through training. Relationships are among the most powerful ways for people to learn and grow, and this is part of our HPE culture.
In addition to working alongside talented colleagues, you will have many opportunities to learn through coaching and stretch assignment opportunities. You’ll be guided by feedback and support to accelerate your learning and maximize your knowledge. We also have a “reverse mentoring” program which allows us to share our knowledge and strengths across our multi-generation workforce. Enterprise Group works to streamline innovation and simplify IT with superior solutions.
By combining ESSN (Enterprise Server, Storage and Networking) and Technology Services into one division, we gain a strategic advantage in our focus on “Converged Infrastructure”. The HPE Enterprise Group supports our customers with the transformation and integration of their technology. We are there for our customers – come join us! We are currently seeking highly qualified, self-motivated research associate/interns to accelerate research towards new applications, core methodologies and technologies in computing platform architecture at Hewlett Packard Labs.
Hewlett Packard Labs is an international research organization with its headquarters and largest facility located in Palo Alto, California. As Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s central research organization, Hewlett Packard Labs’ purpose is to deliver breakthrough technologies and technology advancements that provide a competitive advantage for the company, by investing in fundamental science and technology in areas of interest to HPE and getting the resulting technologies ready for adoption into new and existing markets. The system architecture hardware group focuses on researching and developing technologies, architectures and software for memory-driven computing, that can exploit novel hardware such as non-volatile memory and photonic interconnect, accelerators, and specialized SoCs. We investigate and evaluate new system architecture and use those to assemble breakthrough system and fabric architectures.
Our team is diverse, with a broad range of skillsets and expertise that enables the exploration and development of new ideas not possible in more traditional monolithic research organizations. We are seeking highly qualified candidates to come join our research team as an intern with the possibility of longer term co-innovation and collaboration. We are particularly interested in individuals with a background in systems, computer architecture, memory technology, storage, interconnects, high-performance computing. The ideal candidate has an excellent understanding of the current state of the art, major trends and opportunities, and a demonstrated track record in making things real in innovative ways, combined with a broad, entrepreneurial interest in contributing to the next generation of HPE’s products.
This project involves literature survey and profiling of the DirectGMA RDMA and traditional CPU MPI memory staging accesses for inter-node communication to analyze the compute node performance for HPC applications with GPUs. We expect our researchers (including interns) to provide thought leadership and technical influence internally and externally, to take innovations and make them real – from initial ideas to design, development, implementation, evaluation, and technology transfer. Ideal candidates thrive in an applied research environment, balancing scientific contributions with the ability to bring such contributions to practice. We expect researches to collaborate with other research teams, HPE business units, and external partners.
Excellent software systems building skills are a significant plus. What do we offer? Extensive social benefits, flexible working hours, a competitive salary and shared values, make Hewlett Packard Enterprise one of the world´s most attractive employers. At HPE our goal is to provide equal opportunities, work-life balance, and constantly evolving career opportunities.
