Job Description The Sr. CAD Layout Engineer will be responsible for enabling flows and methodologies for Optical and IC PDK Designs for Intel’s Silicon Photonics Division while being a part of a centralized team under NVM Solutions Group. The qualified CAD candidates will be responsible to develop, validate/QA and support the custom layout collateral portion of the Optical and Foundry Process Design Kit PDK. Primary responsibilities will focus on writing and supporting the caliber/Assura DRC/LVS rule file, Develops and applies computer aided design CAD software engineering methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical DRC/LVS problems. The candidate will be responsible for developing and managing the design rule document, Electronic Design Automation EDA tools/flows and platforms to ensure high-quality delivery of kit content to customers. Qualifications Qualifications: – Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electric Engineering, or other related field are preferred with at least 5 years of recent design automation experience. Candidates without a degree will be considered according to equivalent industry experience.- Specific experience providing DA development/ support for Foundry PDK flows required. – Strong proficiency in Calibre DRC/LVS cording, design rule document development – Candidates should also be familiar with UNIX scripting, EDA vendor tool setup, custom layout editors, such as Cadence Virtuoso and Synopsys Custom Designer, GDSII databases, DRC/LVS, and revision control systems. – Strong proficiency in a few programming languages such as Perl, Skill, in a UNIX/Linux environment is required.- Specific experience providing DA development/ support for Foundry PDK flows required. – Experience in working with EDA data such as SPICE netlists, design simulations or verification, etc. is preferable. – Understanding of web development including HTML, PHP, jQuery, javascript, and MySQL is a plus.
