Staff Product Engineer – Inphi Corporation – Santa Clara, CA

• Ownership of architecting and implementing automated test systems (including software, hardware, and database) for optical transceiver module production, characterization, and development
• Ownership of manufacturing test methodology, test process, and test coverage to ensure product quality and reliability
• Develop software and database tools to analyze production test data and track work in process (WIP) and yield
• Define and communicate design for test (DFt) requirements to design teams to ensure testability of the products
• Lead the transfer of production stations and systems to off-shore contract manufacturer
• Work with and provide guidance to local supports to maintain production stations in off-shore contract manufacturing site
• Drive cost reduction efforts such as test time reduction and yield enhancement
• Develop and maintain a test platform based on the production system for development, characterization, and verification purposes
• Support design, qualification, and operation teams on automating tests such as engineering verification test (EVT), design verification test (DVT), characterization test, and reliability test
• Lead efforts to develop low-cost or specialty equipment and circuit board for manufacturing and engineering uses
• Conduct test automation software and system level training as well as documentation

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience developing automated test solutions relating to optical components or modules
• Deep knowledge of optical systems, modules, components, and photonics devices (lasers, detectors, modulators, DWDM system)
• Proven experience with control mechanism of complex optical components or modules
• Excellent programming skill in C# / Visual Basic / VB.Net and database (MySQL)
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Perl and Python is a plus
• Experience and capability of designing PCB circuit boards is required
• Strong ownership, excellent communication, flexibility, and team spirit
• MSEE or higher preferred
