TruTag Technologies is seeking a Product Engineer to be a core member of its imagers development team.
Job Responsibilities:
Work with team of engineers on electro-optic instrument bring up, validation, and debug for performance evaluation and optimization.
Design and assemble optical and electrical bench setups and test fixtures, execute validation and characterization test plans and procedures, and prepare summary reports.
Troubleshoot electronics, optics, mechanical, and software issues of instrument and subsystems.
Assist in transfer of the design to production.
Develop assembly, quality control, and final test procedures.
Provide technical support to teams within and outside of company.
Generate test reports and present to the team.
Create user manuals and SOPs.
This is a full-time position based in the Company’s Emeryville, California Engineering Center.

Desired Skills and Experience:
Successful candidates will have the following skills and experience:
A graduate degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience or BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience.
Experience putting in place, aligning and characterizing free-space optical setups.
Experience with electronics test equipment and data acquisition systems.
Fluency in scripting languages (Python, Matlab) a plus.
Good analytical skills and experience with design of experiments and data analysis.
Must be hands-on and comfortable working with tools, test instruments, and assembly of electro-mechanical and optical devices.
Willing to take on tasks outside of core expertise.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Local candidates highly preferred. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
