Position Overview Baylor University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Nonlinear Nanophotonics, Plasmonics, and Metasurfaces. The Nano-Optics group at Baylor University invites applicants for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to participate in the project of “Nonlinear metasurfaces, plasmonics, and ENZ materials”. The successful candidate will join our research program led by Professor Howard Lee in the Department of Physics at Baylor University (Waco, Texas, USA). The projects will focus on some of these studies:
The successful candidate is expected to make high-impact contributions to cutting edge research areas and also have the opportunity to collaborate with scientists at Texas A&M, Naval Research Lab, and National Taiwan University. The position is available as early as June 2017. Qualifications

About the Nano-optics Lab Part of our nano-optics lab is located in the 508,000 square foot Baylor Sciences Building (BSB), as well as in the Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative (BRIC) (collaborative research lab with Prof. Marlan Scully). Our labs at Baylor equipped with Ti:Sapphire femtosecond laser system with optical parametric amplifier, mode-locked diode pumped Nd:YAG laser amplifier with tunable OPA, supercontinuum light source, tunable lasers, pressure-assisted high temperature filling system (for hybrid metal/semiconductor filled microstructured fiber), optical characterization, optical fiber post-processing facilities, and nanofabrication facilities, etc. As we are affiliated with TexasA&M, the nanofabrication would also be performed at the Henry F.
