Power Converters and Analog Circuits Section Manager (EDD P&ESD, Marlborough) Manager II, Electrical Engineering (E05) Raytheon’s Electrical Design Directorate (EDD) provides engineering design, integration and production to core radar, sonar, torpedo and combat system competencies including process and control, integration and test, power systems, torpedo and sonar electronics, receivers and exciters, antennas and microwave subassemblies. Job Description : The Power Converters and Analog Circuit Section Manager should be an experienced electrical engineering leader, with deep and broad expertise in engineering design, test and integration, management, and business. In addition the candidate should possess demonstrated organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities will include managing a Power Converter Engineering section of 15 to 20 engineers – including resource and manpower planning, career development of employees, performance and appraisal evaluations, developing training curricula, technical mentoring and leadership skill development. Other responsibilities include technical problem solving, mentoring, project leadership, proposal writing, pursuing new business, managing budgets and schedules as the leader of development teams, and leading organizational initiatives. The candidate should expect to work closely with other section managers, the department manager, the program management office, senior managers, senior staff engineers, systems engineers, and other development team members. Required Skills : · 6+ years total experience including project management, and development and integration of radar power systems · Project leadership skills, including skills in the management of cost and schedule, leadership of technical design teams or of technical senior staff.
An advanced degree is preferred.
