Postdoctoral Researcher – Quantum Information Science – JOB#076958
The Plourde and Pechenezhskiy Groups in the Physics Department at Syracuse University are soliciting applications for a joint postdoctoral research position for supporting experimental research activities on characterizing and mitigating phononic and photonic poisoning in solid-state qubits. Experience in one or more of the following areas is desired: microwave electronics, microfabrication, measurement automation, and low-temperature physics. The successful candidate will explore quasiparticle poisoning in superconducting circuits, develop mitigation techniques, and test them experimentally. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility for renewal. The position involves both conducting research and supervising graduate students in both research groups. Qualified candidates should submit their curriculum vitae, a list of publications, a short description of their qualifications, and the e-mail addresses of three references to the online position posting at https://www.sujobopps.com/postings/98431.
Syracuse University is an equal-opportunity, affirmative-action institution. We actively seek applicants who can continue to broaden that diversity and contribute to the inclusive department culture. Women and under-represented minorities are encouraged to apply. Questions and inquiries can be directed to Prof. Pechenezhskiy [email protected]> or Prof. Plourde [email protected]>.
