A leading designer and manufacturer of fiber optic products is now looking for a Sales and Applications Engineer to join their growing team in Southampton.
Reporting directly to the Engineering and Sales Support Manager, you will provide technical support to customers, ensuring that internal product engineering and production efforts are aligned with customer needs.
Sales Engineering tasks will include managing product sales through technical interaction with the sales team and / or customers, responding directly and indirectly to customer technical help requests via email, phone and face to face meetings.
You will also prepare technical diagrams, e.g., 3D CAD, finite element analysis, and other visualisation material, e.g., 3D-printed models, to support sales account managers’ sales pitches and technical support.
Applications Engineering tasks will focus on continually growing your product know-how, gaining better understanding of new application areas.
This will include demonstrating product to customers and conducting experimental tests on to support customer requests.
Through experimental work, data mining and customer applications support, you will provide Sales and Engineering with insights into new product developments, and improvements.
This is a fast-paced role, designed to support their customers and sales team with rapid technical support on our wide array of optical fibres.
